If you could relive one day from your past, which day would it be and why?
Some experiences stay with you long after the trip is over. Thailand was one of those places for me—a beautiful combination of adventure, relaxation, culture, and unforgettable moments.
One of the things I remember most was getting a full–body deep-tissue 1 hr massage for only $12. I also received a 30-minute foot massage for only $5. It was such an incredible experience, especially because the massage was both relaxing and affordable. Being able to slow down, release the tension in my body, and simply enjoy the moment felt like the ultimate form of self-care.
Then came the adventure.
Riding an elephant and interacting with these amazing animals was an experience I will never forget. Being so close to them, watching how they moved, and experiencing them in their environment made the moment feel almost surreal. It was one of those experiences where you want time to slow down because you know you’re creating a memory you’ll carry with you.
And then there was visiting Wat Temple—another highlight that made the trip so special.
Looking back, I think I would relive that day not simply because Thailand was beautiful, but because of how I felt while I was there.
I felt free.
I felt present.
I felt adventurous.
Traveling Became Part of My Healing
Looking back, I realize that my passion for travel has become more than simply visiting beautiful places. Vacationing and creating new experiences have worked in my favor when it comes to my mental wellness.
That realization connects deeply with two of my books: Luxury Travel on a Budget and Hear to Heal book.

With Luxury Travel on a Budget, I share my love of discovering ways to experience the world without believing that meaningful travel has to be expensive. Thailand reminded me that some of the most memorable moments can come from simple experiences—an affordable massage, an incredible meal, connecting with animals, exploring a new culture, or simply sitting somewhere beautiful and taking it all in.
And Hear to Heal represents another important part of that journey: taking care of your emotional well-being.
The two books may focus on different areas, but they complement each other in a meaningful way. Travel gives me opportunities to explore, reset, experience, and reconnect. Hear to Heal gives me a space to reflect, process, and reconnect with myself.
Together, they have reminded me that mental wellness isn’t always about staying in one place and trying to figure everything out.
Sometimes, you need to step away, breathe, explore, experience something new, and give yourself permission to enjoy life.
Looking back at Thailand, I think I would relive that day not simply because Thailand was beautiful, but because of how I felt while I was there.
I felt free.
I felt present.
I felt adventurous.
I wasn’t focused on yesterday or worrying about tomorrow. I was simply experiencing the moment.
Sometimes healing can look like that too.
It can be giving yourself permission to step away from the routine, explore somewhere new, laugh, relax, and create memories that remind you that life is meant to be experienced—not just endured.
If you could relive one day from your past, which day would you choose—and why?
Maybe the answer isn’t just about the place you would return to.
Maybe it’s about the version of yourself you were when you were there.
