I want to bring awareness of the importance of feeling love and the positive impact on our lives. As a mother, wife, daughter, and sister, I have found that the word love is significant, especially in children’s lives. It is meaningful to children regarding their mental state, which affects their behavior. In addition, it is essential to children and adults because it sets our path in life.

In explanation, the meaningful part of love and affection for a child affects children’s healthy brain development, impacting their mental state. Children’s feelings about themselves, how confident they are, and how well they cope with stress are all affected by how children respond to their parent’s deliverance. The affection of love displayed by the parents helps children’s development process in many ways. Through relationships, children learn how they think, understand, communicate, behave, express emotions and develop social skills. When all of their development processes change for the better, it impacts their self-identity, which builds their emotional, social, and cognitive development.

Let’s focus on the scientific studies I learned as a mother and graduate student. The significant part about the information I am sharing and giving to other parents is that I have studied the knowledge and experienced the effects of love. As a mother, from personal experience, I can attest that giving love to my children, who are now all adults and teens, has displayed so many great benefits today. Today we no longer focus on ourselves as an individual. We focus on our entire family in how we communicate, interact, and care for one another. Our conscious mind has expanded from I, Me, Myself obsession to the more commodious speaking of We, Us, and Ours. I have written the book called Judge Me Now to help biological and adoptive parents learn the importance of love and how it has a massive impact on every child’s life. In this book, Dallas went from being a mute child because of neglect to shifting his entire family dynamic and purpose once he experienced LOVE. The abundance of love not only changed him as a child but changed his family as a whole. Love does not have a dollar value, so it is not hard to give. It doesn’t cost a thing to give your child a love letter, or surprise them to their favorite spot, read them a story, frame a famous picture of them, and explain to them why it’s a favorite picture you. Tell your child your favorite memory of them, dance, sing, and laugh with them, or tell them you love them every day. In my book, The Better Betty, Betty’s behavior changed because of the abundance of love she kept receiving from her family. Children that display erratic behavior, anger, bullying, or truancy are almost 100% caused by their yearning for LOVE and affection. In the book, Betty realizes that the amount of love she received from her parents made her feel like she could do anything. Once she realizes her approach to life becomes brighter and happier. Betty dared to do things she didn’t think she could do. Get the book to find out what LOVE did for Betty and how it impacted her world. Studies show that giving love can significantly impact our world today. Children who cry out for love will display their desire through behavior. Parents pay close attention to their child’s behavior and interaction with others.

On the other hand, as an educator who studied sociology and psychology, I have learned being in love causes our body to release feel-good hormones and neurochemicals that trigger specific, positive reactions—the levels of dopamine, adrenaline, and norepinephrine increase when people feel love.
